How to Choose a Pylontech Battery?

Once you know your energy needs, these decisions narrow the choice.

Which voltage does your inverter use?

24V: UP2500. 48V: US series or Pelio

Match the battery voltage to your inverter. The UP2500 is a 24V battery. The US5000, US3000C and US2000 are 48V, and the Pelio is 51.2V.

How much storage do you need?

Divide your target energy by usable kWh per module

Add up the energy you want to cover, then divide by the usable energy of one module, for example 4.56 kWh for the US5000. That gives you the number of modules.

Does your inverter talk to the battery?

Confirm CAN or RS485 support

Check that your inverter supports Pylontech communication over CAN or RS485 before ordering. Contact us if you are unsure and we will confirm for you.

How many modules will you connect?

Add the LV-HUB for larger groups

The US5000 supports up to 16 modules in parallel. The LV-HUB connects several 48V battery groups and adds monitoring and remote control. The Pelio builds in towers of up to four batteries.

How will you mount them?

Brackets or the Pelio ground mounting kit

Brackets stack the batteries and improve airflow and cooling. Pelio installs use their own ground mounting cable kit.

Which cables do you need?

One cable kit per system of up to five batteries

The cable kit includes a 2 m AWG #4 power cable and a 2.5 m RS485 communication cable. Larger systems need an extra pack. Interlink cables ship with each battery.
