The Victron Energy BCD 402 diode battery combiner is designed to keep critical 12V or 24V DC loads powered from two independent battery sources. Rated for 40A continuous current, it allows both sources to supply the same load in parallel while preventing one battery source from feeding back into the other.
Its Schottky diode technology keeps voltage drop low—about 0.3V at light load and approximately 0.45V at rated current. With M6 bolt connections and a compact 60 x 120 x 75 mm enclosure, it is suited to mission-critical DC systems where uninterrupted power is essential, such as electronic engine controls.
