Description

The Victron Energy Isolation Transformer 3600W Auto 115/230V provides galvanic isolation between shore power and a vessel’s AC system while automatically detecting 115V or 230V input. Its 3600W toroidal transformer can supply 120V or 240V output at 50/60Hz, helping improve electrical safety and reduce galvanic corrosion.

A built-in soft-start circuit limits inrush current, while temperature-controlled fan cooling and overtemperature shutdown protect the unit during operation. The IP21 aluminium enclosure and automatic input-voltage selection make it a practical solution for professional marine shore-power systems.

Key Features

Safer Marine Power Across Shore Voltages

Electrical Safety

Electrical separation from shore power supports safer onboard vessel AC systems.

Corrosion Prevention

Separates shore ground from vessel ground to block shore-originated galvanic corrosion.

Soft Start

Soft start limits inrush current to help prevent shore-power breakers from tripping.

Temperature Protection

A temperature-controlled fan and overtemperature shutdown help protect the transformer.

Quiet Operation

Toroidal construction provides low-noise operation for quieter onboard power systems.

Automatic Input Detection

Automatically detects 115V or 230V AC shore input and selects the matching input mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Volts Energies an authorized Victron Energy dealer?

Yes. Volts Energies is an authorized Victron Energy dealer and distributor in Canada. All Victron products sold at Volts Energies are genuine, covered by full Victron warranty, and eligible for Victron technical support.

What is the Victron VRM portal?

The Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal is a free cloud-based monitoring platform that displays real-time and historical data from your entire Victron system. It is accessible from any browser or mobile device and requires a Victron GX device (such as the Cerbo GX) connected to your system.

What is the difference between Victron MultiPlus and Quattro?

The MultiPlus has one AC input and combines an inverter, charger, and transfer switch in one unit. The Quattro has two AC inputs, it can accept both grid and generator power simultaneously and switch automatically between them. The Quattro is used in larger and more complex off-grid and hybrid systems requiring full redundancy.

Can I use Victron products with non-Victron batteries?

Yes. Victron MPPT controllers, inverter chargers, and battery chargers are compatible with most third-party batteries including Pylontech LiFePO4 batteries stocked at Volts Energies. Some advanced integration features such as dynamic charge current control require compatible BMS communication with GX devices.

What is the VictronConnect app used for?

VictronConnect lets you configure, monitor and update all Victron Smart-series products wirelessly over Bluetooth from any iOS or Android device, set charge parameters, view live data and read history.

Do Victron products work in cold Canadian winters?

Yes. Victron inverters and chargers are rated to perform reliably from −40°C to +65°C, making them well suited to year-round Canadian off-grid, cabin and marine use.
