Quebec's Rénoclimat program now helps homeowners add a battery. You can receive up to $4,000 for the battery system and up to $1,000 for the electrical backup connection, for up to $5,000 in total. Volts Energies works with a network of certified installers across Quebec and supplies Elios batteries and inverters. Contact us and we'll connect you with the right partner for your project.

What Is the Quebec Battery Rebate?
Since October 1, 2026, Rénoclimat, the Government of Quebec's home renovation program, covers the addition of a fixed battery to your home. A battery keeps your essential loads running when the grid goes down.
The rebate has two parts: up to $4,000 for the battery system, and up to $1,000 for the electrical work that connects a backup source to a transfer switch. Combined, that is up to $5,000.
The work must be completed on or after October 1, 2026, and you apply within 12 months of completion. The program is scheduled until March 31, 2029, subject to funding. A rebate cannot exceed your eligible costs before taxes.
How Much Can You Save?
Example: Elios Kit A (10 kW hybrid inverter and 10.2 kWh battery)
| Cost Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Elios Kit A (inverter and battery) | $9,994 |
| Rénoclimat battery rebate | − up to $4,000 |
| Kit cost after the battery rebate | about $5,994 |
| Rénoclimat backup connection rebate (on electrical work) | − up to $1,000 |
This is a hypothetical example for illustration purposes. Installation costs are extra and vary by home. A rebate cannot exceed eligible costs before taxes. Confirm that your chosen model qualifies with our team before purchase.
