Description

The price is only for the modular add-on for adding to the Tectum T1.
Solar panels are not included.

The Elios Tectum Tx Ballasted Roof Racking expands your solar setup effortlessly. A modular add-on, each TX unit supports one extra panel, letting you scale incrementally—simply buy a TX for every panel you add.

Engineered for easy integration, it keeps setups simple and efficient while adapting precisely to your energy needs. The system's ballasted design eliminates roof penetrations, preserving structural integrity while ensuring maximum stability against environmental forces.

Its precision-engineered components facilitate rapid deployment, reducing installation time by up to 40% compared to conventional systems. The corrosion-resistant aluminum construction guarantees decades of reliable performance even in harsh Canadian climates, while the adjustable tilt mechanism optimizes solar capture throughout seasonal variations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who engineers Elios products?

Elios products are engineered by the Elios team in Canada. Specifications are driven by Canadian operating conditions, cold-weather charging thresholds, snow and wind loading, and CSA C22.2 compliance.

What product lines does Elios make?

Elios makes five lines. Litio LiFePO4 batteries from 1.28 kWh to 61.4 kWh. Altilium AGM and flooded lead-acid batteries from 6V to 12V. Voltaic solar panels from 110W to 600W. Inversa hybrid inverter chargers, currently the 1510 at 10kW output with 15kW of solar input. Terra, Arbora and Koala mounting systems for ground, pole and bracket installation.

Are Elios batteries UL certified?

Yes. The Litio5.12 carries UL9540A, UL1973, UN38.3, IEC62619 and CE certification. The Litio16 carries UL9540A, UL1973 and IP65. UL9540A is the thermal runaway propagation test most Canadian authorities require for residential storage permits.

Is the Inversa inverter certified for grid connection in Canada?

Yes. The Inversa 1510 carries UL1741, UL1741SB, UL1699B, CSA C22.2 and IEEE 1547:2018. UL1741SB covers the grid-support functions required for utility interconnection.

Can Elios lithium batteries charge below freezing?

Litio batteries discharge to -20°C but require above-freezing cell temperature to charge. Heated models including the Litio1.28H-BT, Litio2.56H-BT and Litio5.12 warm cells automatically before accepting charge current, making them suitable for unheated cabins, garages and RV installations.

How long do Elios lithium batteries last?

The Litio5.12 is rated for 6,000 charge and discharge cycles. At one cycle per day, that exceeds sixteen years of service. The Litio10.2 is engineered for a 10-year lifespan.

What snow and wind loads are Elios racking systems rated for?

All three Elios racking lines are rated for 1.4 kN/m² snow load. Wind speed rating depends on mounting type: Arbora pole mounts are rated to 55 m/s, Terra ground mounts to 42 m/s, and Koala roof brackets to 30 m/s. Terra and Koala use galvanized or ZAM-coated steel with stainless steel hardware; Arbora uses a galvanized steel pole with aluminum rails and clamps.

Does Elios racking fit panels from other manufacturers?

Terra systems accept most framed 60-cell, 72-cell and half-cut modules when installed with Elios clamps. Confirm panel frame width and thickness before ordering.

How many Elios batteries can be connected in parallel?

The Litio5.12 supports up to 32 units in parallel for a total of 163.84 kWh. The Litio10.2 supports up to 16 units in parallel for the same total capacity.

Does Volts Energies ship Elios products across Canada?

Yes, we ship Elios products throughout Canada, with the exception of the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon. Orders over $297 ship free. A few larger items, batteries, solar panels, racking, and storage cabinets, cost more to ship because of their size and weight, so pricing for those is calculated separately rather than included in the flat free rate.
